What YTubeOpen collects

When you create an account, we store your email address, authentication provider, account settings, email preferences, plan status, and timestamps needed to run the service. When you create a smart link, we store the YouTube URL you submitted, the normalized YouTube destination, the generated short slug, link status, title, thumbnail URL, and related analytics.

Click and analytics data

When someone opens a short link, we record operational event data such as event type, timestamp, referrer, user agent, device family, operating system family, country code, and click classification. We use this data to route links, measure usage, enforce free-tier limits, debug failures, and show creator analytics.

YTubeOpen cannot reliably know whether the YouTube app actually opened. App handoff is best-effort and depends on the viewer device, browser, host app, and operating system.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Resend for transactional, support, and product emails, Vercel for the web app and analytics, Cloudflare for short-link routing, and Google or YouTube APIs for YouTube metadata. These providers process data only as needed to operate YTubeOpen.

Retention

Raw click events are retained for up to 60 days. Aggregated rollups may be kept longer so creators can view historical link performance and so YTubeOpen can maintain account-level usage totals.

Your choices

You can delete links from the dashboard and update product email preferences in settings. Transactional emails for account security, billing, and service operation may still be sent when needed. To request account deletion, data export, or correction, contact support at support@mail.ytubeopen.com.
